LOLLIPOP MEETSG.K.’s offers competitive opportunities for girls and boys beginning with our famous “lollipop” meets for gymnasts new to the competitive environment. This affords a fun, non- threatening, non stressful method to have the gymnasts see just how it all works. This allows us the opportunity to control the award system so that the competitors are not compared to each other and are all winners.
USA GYMNASTICS COMPETITIONSOnce they have grown through this system, they have the opportunity to compete in the USA Gymnastics Federation meets. For the boys, the competitive levels include Class 6, Class 5, and Class 4. For the girls the compulsory levels include Level 5, Level 6, and Level 7. The optional levels include Level 8, Level 9 and Level 10. We are very proud of our competitive teams and take pride in the fact that currently we have six Level 10 gymnasts on our teams. In order to put that in prospective, please note that in the entire state of Colorado there are approximately thirty Level 10 gymnasts.In the past we have had two gymnasts test and pass the Elite level. In both cases, the girls have elected to remain at Level 10 and to put their emphasis on obtaining a college scholarship. Several of our gymnasts have been able to go on to collegiate level. |
Not every gymnast has the potential or desire to reach a Level 10 level. Here at G.K.’s we value all of the competitors. We are just as mindful of the progress of the Level 5 as we are of the progress of the Level 10. Remember, the future level 10’s are currently Level 5’s. It is not uncommon for us to have a girl graduate from high school and when asked how long she has been here she will reply in excess of 16 years. G.K.’s also takes pride in the fact that the area high schools including Fort Collins High School, Rocky Mountain High School and Loveland High School have won the State High School Championship with the help of competitors trained in this facility. 
Our Parents Booster Club is not to be overlooked. Through their efforts we have been able to attend many out-of-state high level meets and gymnastics camps with our boys and girls. |
